Visual art classes and workshops for ages one to 101

ArtiCulture’s mission is to educate, enrich, and nurture through the visual arts.

We offer:

  • Quality visual arts opportunities through classes, workshops and planned events for all ages and abilities
  • Experiences that are inclusive of diversity and meet both artistic and social needs of the community
  • An inviting learning environment that encourages exploration in creative thinking with hands-on experiences
  • Opportunities and space for artists to teach, work, and give a creative outlet to exhibit and sell their artwork

A network of arts opportunities through special projects, and long-term programming partnerships with schools and other arts and non-arts organization.

We plan to continue expanding our verdant arts presence in the community, with a vision that includes educational exhibitions, an interactive arts space, artist’s residencies, studio space and additional collaborations with other arts and non-arts organizations.

ArtiCulture was established as a 501(C)3 nonprofit arts organization by artist and community members as a grassroots effort in 2000 to provide quality visual arts education for the underserved along the river in south Minneapolis. Starting with children’s art day camps in a church basement, ArtiCulture grew rapidly due to demand and moved to it own site in the Longfellow neighborhood.

ArtiCulture now resides in nearby Seward neighborhood on Franklin Avenue. This location has enabled the expansion of programming, educationally based exhibitions and a retail space of art supplies and original artworks created by our talented instructors and other local artists.
