CHILDREN'S CLASSES: Students dropped off more than 10 minutes early or picked up more than 10 minutes late will be charged for childcare. Children picked up after childcare ends will be charged $1 per minutes.

SCHOLARSHIPS: Scholarships are available to those who qualify. Contact us for a scholarship form.

TAX ADVANTAGE: Class fees for children and youth 5 & up may qualify for state tax deduction.

PAYMENT: Payment must be received by the end of the business day, the day before a class begins. We cannot guarantee enrollment in a class until payment is received. Our hours are Mon.-Fri. from 11am-6pm. Payment completes the registration process. It is the responsibility of students (or parents) to make sure we've received payment. If you register online towards the end of the day or over the weekend, we may not receive the registration in time and recommend that you call the office to ensure your spot is saved. Our number is 612.729.5151.

REFUNDS, CHARGES, & CANCELLATIONS: All refunds are subject to a $25 cancellation fee. If a student withdraws two weeks or more prior to the first class meeting, tuition, less the cancellation fee, is refunded. After that, no credits or refunds will be made. If a student elects to transfer to another class for any reason two weeks or more prior to the class, there is a $15 processing fee. The processing fee for transferring within the two week window prior to the starting class date is $25. There is a $20 charge for checks returned due to insufficient funds. There are no membership refunds. We will notify you ONLY if your class is canceled. Class cancellations will be determined three days before first class. You are welcome to call and check the status of your class. We cannot guarantee enrollment in a class until payment is received.

Each week offers a different subject for camp goers. Curricula include separate programming for morning and afternoon camps. Camps are open to PreK (age 4) and up through sixth grade unless otherwise indicated. Smaller enrollment may dictate combined classes. Note: All students—bring a snack. Full-day students—bring lunch and two snacks. If preferred, ArtiCulture offers snacks for .75 each. Extended care option on registration form. Grade indicates fall 2013 and must be age 4 or older.

Wee Grow Art

Art Together

Learn creative tricks used by comic artists to produce stories that successfully convey ideas, thoughts and feelings. Participants will conceive, draw, ink, letter and ultimately assemble their own unique characters, storylines and comics. Note: Offered each session.

Mix It Up! - registration closed

Length: 
7 weeks (grades 2 & up)

Alternative materials and mixed media combined withvarious printmaking methods will be the focus of this class.Techniques such as collage, stencil art, and monotypeprinting along with recycled fabrics and other upcycledmaterials will be used. Enjoy exploring unusual ways toincorporate experimental projects into interesting artisticcreations. Note: offered each session.

Art Blossoms

8 weeks in winter, 7 weeks in spring (PreK age 4 - grade 1)

Art Blossoms is a wonderful foundation class for young artists to foster, through art-making, a personal relationship with creative thinking. It focuses on exploring the capacities of different media and develops a greater understanding of various techniques. To engage return students, curriculum is new each session. Kids can come celebrate the end of the year right in our warm studio with creative 2- and 3-dimensional projects! Kids will be involved with a variety of art projects and indoor activities to chase away the cabin fever blues.

We offer half and full day options. 2015 Winter Break Camp is a four day block; dates included are Monday-Wednesday, 12/29-31 & Friday, 1/2. Thursday is off.

Unconventional Artist

Do you have a desire to be visually creative, but feel you don’t have the artistic skills? In this class you will learn different ways to create works of art without possessing traditional drawing skills. Create textures, patterns, and fine art imagery with simple stamping, printing, stenciling, and layering methods...among others! Note: Materials fee $12 payable first day.

Art and Nature

Join us as we connect with the world around us to create nature-inspired art. Learn how artists are motivated by the natural world surroundings using plants, landscapes and people. Field Drawing

Length: 
5 weeks

This class will be focused on drawing and painting from nature. Most class-work will be done outdoors. We will drawing plant forms, geological forms, landscapes and animals. We will develop the technical skills needed to capture organic subjects and movement with “visual note taking” skills through line, shape, volume and tone. Art as Journal

Journaling is a unique form of individual storytelling. In this class participants will explore journaling as a form of visual art. Water-Media Intro

Workshops

Indigo Dip Deying - registration closed

Indigo, a natural dye widely used throughout history, is also one of the easiest to work with, not needing a color fixative. Learn dipping techniques to create simple resist patterns and beautiful ombré gradations. Continue dipping and the color deepens. We’ll have a vat going when you arrive, and we’ll make another for those interested in learning to maintain one at home. Note: Squares of cotton will be available.
