Fused Glass for Families

Length:

This fun workshop is designed for children AND their adults! Participants will learn basic fused glass principles and techniques to make functional artwork such as jewelry, nightlights, magnets, picture frames, window ornaments and more. Awesome Glass Baubles!

Spring Quarter School Release Days

Length: 
Full Day or Half Day (Grades K-5)

School’s Out? Get creative! Come for half- or full-day programs—make art with a variety of subjects and media, read books, hearstorytelling, get physical exercise, see old friends, make new ones and everything in between. New projects every time. 

Come for half a day, all-day—or, if scheduled, for the whole week.  Kids enter a world where their minds are hard at work learning while creating and having fun.

Note: All students—bring a snack. Full-day students—bring lunch and two snacks. If preferred, ArtiCulture offers snacks for .75 each.

Summer Camps

Summer Art Camps 2010

Length: 
Full Day or Half Day (PreK - 6th Grade)

Each week offers a different subject for camp goers. Some camps have all-day or half-day AM/PM time options available.  Curriculum will include different projects for morning and afternoon classes. Other camps are all-day only (see camps below for details). 

Camps are open to PreK (age 4) through sixth grade unless otherwise indicated. By design, curriculum is age appropriate (including mixed age camps). When larger enrollment dictates separate classes, students will be divided according to age, ability and interests.

Note: All students—bring a snack. Full-day students—bring lunch and two snacks. If preferred, ArtiCulture offers snacks for .75each.

Reigning Cats & Dogs

Art Car

Once again we’re having ArtiCulture’s Art Car team! We will use a donated car as a blank canvas for young artists with a vision.Participants will conceptualize and present their idea to the car owner for approval, then drive into action to create a mobile masterpiece. The grand finale will be class participation in the Art Car Parade Saturday, July 24.

Green Planet

Art of Food

YUM!  Back by popular demand – where art becomes food and food becomes art. Mornings will at ArtiCulture will have creating “foodworks” with a variety of non-food materials. Innovative Printmaking

Art Infusion

Art Car

Once again we’re having ArtiCulture’s Art Car team! We will use a donated car as a blank canvas for young artists with a vision.Participants will conceptualize and present their idea to the car owner for approval, then drive into action to create a mobile masterpiece.  The grand finale will be class participation in the Art Car Parade Saturday, July 24.

Life Drawing Cooperative

This self-guided cooperative gives participants an opportunity to develop their artistic skills using live models.  ArtiCulture provides a limited number of easels and drawing boards on a first come, first served basis.  Bring your own supplies or purchase them here.

Scarves to Dye For

Participants will dye at least two beautifully colorful silks. Learn color theory, silk dyeing basics, dye-setting, safety tips and eco-friendly dyeing methods. One of the silks will then be used as a base to create a stunning Nuno scarf by felting it with soft wool and other exotic fibers.

Wool Recycled!

This class will make two “oops-I-shrunk-your” … wool sweater projects. Create an artistic water bottle cozy for your re-useable water bottles—wool not only keeps water cool but also wicks away condensation on hot days. Next, create a wonderfully embellished to-go coffee sleeve for all your hot drinks. Incredibly easy and fun to make for everyday use!

Felted Vessels, Vases & Bowls

Using wool roving and a variety of embellishment fibers, learn to felt a seamless 3-dimensional small vessel to hold trinkets, chocolates or simply for decoration. Choose bright or natural colors to “sculpt” a vessel into an organic or contemporary bowl or vase. For a two-in-one series it can also be designed to be reversible. The process uses water, so dress for mess and be ready to roll up your sleeves.

Creature Comforts
