CHILDREN'S CLASSES: Students dropped off more than 10 minutes early or picked up more than 10 minutes late will be charged for childcare. Children picked up after childcare ends will be charged $1 per minutes.

SCHOLARSHIPS:Scholarships are available to those who qualify. Contact us for a scholarship form.

TAX ADVANTAGE:Class fees for children and youth 5 & up may qualify for state tax deduction.

REFUNDS, CHARGES, & CANCELLATIONS: Full refunds will be given if you cancel two wees before a class begins. No refunds will be issued after that time. There is a $20 charge for checks returned due to insufficient funds. There are no membership refunds. We will notify you ONLY if your class is canceled. Class cancellations will be determined three days before first class. You are welcome to call and check the status of your class.

Art Sprouts - Fall Session

Length: 
10 weeks/7 weeks (ages 12 - 24 months & caregiver)

Geared towards the youngest of artists, this class cultivates cognitive development, small motor skills, and creative thinking. Little minds and hands will be kept busy with visual play, storytelling, and more. Note: No class Tuesday, Nov 23 or Friday, Nov 26.

Wee Grow Art - Fall Session

Art Together - Fall Session

This is the third level of age-appropriate curriculum that encourages creative young minds and active hands. Length:

From hot climates to aquatic conditions to the frozen tundra—students will look at the natural ecosystems. The importance of biodiversity and preservation will be highlighted, while researching fascinating creatures such as poisonous frogs and carnivorous plants. Fun and innovative projects will explore important aspects of the environment that will help illuminate the delicate balance between animal and plant life.

Creative Cartographers - Fall Session

Length: 
5 weeks (grades 2 & up)
Research has found that the brain needs to learn and practice how to navigate using maps, diagrams and the like. Participants will look at old maps, globes, different diagrams, codes and illustrations that show cross-sections of particular movements and habitats. Students will then practice navigation with a creative twist—with projects like mapping the neighborhood, their bedrooms, a dream house, breakfast or even bad days!

Incredible Comics - Fall Session

Length: 
10 weeks (grades 3 & up)

Students will practice techniques, processes and creative tricks used by cartoonists to produce stories that successfully convey ideas, thoughts and feelings. Through demonstrations, show and tell, and projects, participants will learn how to conceive, draw, ink, letter and ultimately assemble their own unique cartoons and comics. Note: No class Nov 24.

Just Picture It - Fall Session

Length: 
4 weeks (grades 7 – 9)

Think in reverse to create a relief carving to use on our vintage printing press and over and over again at home. Your picture, the family dog, or another photo or drawing of choice, will be transferred onto a printing block. The use of texture, shape, and space will be emphasized. There will be print trade where participants can share exciting printed work with fellow artists.  Note: No class Oct 28.

College Portfolio Prep - Fall Session

Length: 
8 weeks (grades 11 & 12)

This class is designed to assist students preparing artwork for college entry in visual arts. Students will work on technical skills and idea development while creating the observational pieces that are required for portfolio submission including landscape, still life, interior, and self-portrait. Primarily using pencil, charcoal, pen, and paint, focus will be on a full value scale and composition. Note: No class Oct 28 or Nov 25.

Art Infusion - Fall Session

This class is for students who truly love to immerse themselves in art making. Students will work on refining technical drawing and painting skills such as use of line, shade, color, perspective, proportions, alone with composition. Printing Off the Page - Fall Session

Length: 
4 weeks

Use simple relief and stenciling techniques to create designs and patterns to print onto various materials such as fabric, leather, magnets, bags, or books. Experiment with our vintage printing press and learn how the art of printing extends into every-day life. Revamp that old hand bag, pillowcase or shirt or possibly think of unique, handmade holiday gifts!

Art of Color - Fall Session

This art theory class is for people who are fascinated by the power of color. Working in oil pastel and paint, we will study the difference between hues, tints, shades and tones. Multiples like a Master: Line Etching - Fall Session

Length: 
4 weeks

Produce museum-quality prints of your line drawings using centuries-old copper etching (intaglio) processes. This is a non-toxic introduction to intaglio techniques used by master artists like Leonardo DaVinci and Albrecht Durer. From landscape, still-life, figure or abstract—watch your image come to life on copper. Produce multiple copies from the same plate, your images will materialize, while experimenting with our vintage printing press!

Drawing & Painting Studio - Fall Session

10 weeks (all levels)

Learn basic technical skills if just starting out—such as observation, perspective, shadowing, and composition. For the more advanced student—expand your knowledge base. Copper Clay Jewelry Workshop

Length: 
1 day

Copper clay has similar properties to PMC (precious metal clay) and fires in a kiln in just 30 minutes. Make beautifully textured charms, pendents, or earrings. Depending on size—each student will make a minimum of two to four pieces as personal accessories or as the perfect gift. Note: Previous PMC experience a plus but not necessary.

Intro to PMC Silver Jewelry Workshop

Learn the basics of working with silver precious metal clay (PMC) using stamps, textures and your own inspiration to make beautiful one-of-a-kind jewelry. Glass Sun Catcher Workshop

Create dazzling ornaments to catch the warming sun’s glow. Participants will work in both fused glass and stained glass processes and learn basic technical skills of copper foiling for stained glass and glass layering for kiln fused glass. Fused Glass Jewelry Workshop

In this workshop participants will focus on designing one-of-a-kind glass jewelry. Make at least four colorful glass pins, pendants or earrings using colorful dichroic glass to be kiln fired. Great for gift giving or add to your own personal collection.

Fused Glass Flower Vase Workshop

Length: 
1 day

During this one day workshop participants will create a functional flower “pocket” vase by fusing two sheets of glass together. You will also decorate the top sheet with other pieces of glass creating your own design. The vase will hang from a chain and can be mounted in a window or on a wall. Each piece will then be kiln fired.

Art Glass Wind Chime Workshop

Create a unique glass wind chime with fused glass. Students will be shown how to cut and layer the glass to make and design your own personal chimes. In addition, participants will be taught how to make braided copper loops, which are used to hang the chimes.

Felted Mittens Workshop

Make a pair of artsy and wonderfully warm wool mittens for the cold days ahead. Pick your personal color pallet of wool fibers, which are the key ingredients to felt making. Felted Vessels, Vases & Bowls Workshop

Using wool roving and a variety of embellishment fibers, learn to felt a seamless 3-dimensional small vessel to hold trinkets, chocolates or simply for decoration. Choose bright or natural colors to “sculpt” a vessel into an organic or contemporary bowl or vase. For a two-in-one series it can also be designed to be reversible. Nuno Felted Table Runner Workshop
