Art Instructors

Are you an art teacher? Artist with some experience teaching art?

We seek out artist/educators to who can teach a variety of art classes and workshops. Emphasis is on the creation of original work and less so on outcomes. Class ages are from 12 months to adult. Instructors may be responsible for facilitating/supervising groups with up to 15 students in a variety of arts and recreational activities.

Articulture focuses on arts education and brings art experiences to communities in influential ways. On site we offer art classes and workshops to all ages, starting at age 1 to teens and adults. Through long-term partnerships, we bring work with marginalized populations such as people with developmental disabilities, those with mental illness, the homeless and individuals in recovery and at risk children and teens. Our artist-in-residence programming in the schools often tie into core curriculum competencies.

Candidates must be professional practicing artists with a BA, BFA in Studio Art. A degree in Arts Education is a Plus but not necessary. A minimum of two years previous teaching experience is a must.

In addition we are looking for artists with skills in:

  • Drawing and Painting (teens and adults)
  • Printmaking (children – summer camp)
  • Comics and Claymation (children – summer camp)
  • Additional experience with marginalized populations a plus for future opportunities
